Building Manuals + Chain of Responsibility Logbooks
Protect your build. Prove your compliance.
Independently compiled by real experts—no apps, no certifier duties, just third-party documentation done right.

Why the Industry Needs This.
Australia is undergoing a compliance revolution. After years of product failures and defect scandals, governments are cracking down on poor documentation and lack of accountability in the building product supply chain.
New legislation, reforms, and consumer pressure mean builders and developers must now prove that every product used in a project is compliant, safe, and appropriately installed. You can no longer rely on undocumented verbal assurances.
The Complia Logbook offers a structured, independent way to capture and verify this information across the life of your build—giving you a record to stand behind, and buyers a reason to trust.

National Coverage – What’s Changing Across the States.
NSW – The Building Products (Safety) Act 2017 and 2023 amendments introduce a legally binding Chain of Responsibility for building products (commencing 2025). All parties in the supply chain must document their responsibilities.
VICTORIA – Mandatory building manuals are being introduced under the Building Legislation Amendment Act 2023. Risk-based product documentation is now under consultation.
QUEENSLAND – Chain of Responsibility for non-conforming building products has been in place since 2017. Builders, suppliers, and designers are all legally accountable.
OTHER STATES – National reforms following the Building Confidence Report are encouraging all states to adopt stronger documentation requirements. Developers are being urged to adopt best-practice compliance systems—even before they’re legislated.
This is your opportunity to get ahead of the curve.
